Founded in 1905 by Gozaemon Masunaga in Fukui, Japan, and now controlled by third generation, Satoru Masunaga, this is perhaps the finest optical manufacturer in the world, optician to the Emperor since 1933, and responsible for iconic lines from the past including Oliver Peoples. The current collection from Silmo D’Or award winning designer Kenzo Takada requires over 200 manual processes.
