Amazon and Google want you to think you can buy anything online. This is not true. Glasses are not simply “sold”, they must be fit properly, measured properly, and produced properly to match your custom features.

Costco entered the eye wear business thinking glasses, toilet paper and tires are all the same.  Several startups have appeared selling glasses exclusively online and have since had to open hundreds of brick and mortar locations to handle adjustment and troubleshooting.  Return rates for online glasses are about 30%, and accuracy rated against federal standards is much lower than when properly fit.  Several sites have been taken down by regulators for claiming they could calculate your prescription and examine your eyes online.

A great pair of eyeglasses requires the highest level of technology to produce accurately.  As smart as you may be, you will not know what the problem is with poorly made glasses.

We don’t fit eyewear online, because you can’t do it well, yet.  You cannot feel the product on your face and head, you can not judge the reality, and we cannot effectively measure your eyes and face online or adjust the frame to your head.   And, in spite of government request, I cannot do a thorough accurate eye exam online either. Perhaps someday with advance quantum computing, but for now, you need a trusted optometrist or eye doctor to assist you. Our optometrists and eye doctors are here to guide you through every step, ensuring you get the perfect frames and lenses, personalized and tailored to your eyes and face shape!
